I don't know if this book is a love story.

It's an attempt to look closely at a period of life without turning it into a moral, a warning, or a victory. The voice telling it keeps circling the same moments, not because they're important, but because they refuse to settle.

Polimony doesn't offer closure. It doesn't correct the past. It just stays with it long enough to notice what usually gets skipped over.

This book won't be for everyone. It wasn't meant to be.
